Presentation Skills 201

About the Author

In his 2008 bestseller Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell cites research showing that it takes 10,000 hours of practice to gain the kind of "mastery associated with being a world-class expert." Bill Steele passed that milestone several years ago as presentation skills trainer and coach.

In 1992, after 16 years of continuous presenting as a business executive, Bill decided to take his love of presenting and fully dedicate himself to helping others reach new levels of success when they go before audiences. Since then he has worked with thousands of people in both one-on-one and group settings.

Clients consistently rate Bill with their highest evaluation scores as he combines his extensive knowledge of presenting with deep insight into performance issues and the ability to provide feedback that can be acted on for quick improvement.

Working with a wide range of professionals from sales managers to scientists, technology consultants to finance managers, Bill has helped develop stronger presenters and stronger presentations in industries that include:

  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Biotechnology
  • Medical Education
  • Banking
  • Chemical Manufacturing
  • Telecommunications
  • Transport
  • Automotive
  • Aerospace
  • Information Technology
  • Insurance
  • Consulting
  • Market Research

Bill has a degree in marketing from the University of Colorado and has studied psychology at Bowling Green State University. His book Presentation Skills 201 was published in January, 2009.
